Sinaloa.- The prices of agricultural inputs have riseninformed the president of the Organizing Committee of InfoAgro ExhibitionRodrigo Gonzalez Marquez.
Affectations
The director of Agro Exhibition said that raw material inputs are a problem throughout the world. “The issue of raw material inputs after the pandemic has suffered impressive delays.
In addition, the problems between Russia and Ukraine are added, which also affects a lot because Russia is one of the main producers of fertilizers worldwide,” said González. Grains have also increased due to this Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
In the case of Mexico, the price of corn increased, according to González Márquez. “The price of corn is at a historic price compared to previous years because the world’s breadbasket was Ukraine. Now it is very difficult to produce there. Now it is Mexico or Sinaloa,” said the president of the organizing committee.
The potential
The Spanish sees potential in Sinaloa to boost agricultural activity. A large number of products are even exported to the United States.
Rodrigo González mentioned that the main challenge facing agriculture is to produce in a more organic way and free of toxic substances, respecting the environment so that families consume healthy products.
The InfoAgro
The second edition of the international exhibition Infoagro Exhibition Mexico, which was held in Mazatlan, was inaugurated yesterday at the convention center.
A total of 307 companies have gathered at the Mazatlan convention center to show the news of their products and services, and to form a meeting place for the sector. During the opening ceremony, the secretary of the Mazatlán City Council has emphasized the incentive that this event represents for the promotion of the agricultural sector and the Mexican economy.
During the event, the president of the exhibition’s organizing committee, Rodrigo González, highlighted that in this second edition of the exhibition the exhibiting companies have doubled compared to last year’s edition, which shows the consolidation of this exhibition held in the Mazatlan convention center, given the exceptional opportunity that InfoAgro Exhibition Mexico represents in generating business, not only national, but also international, since given the presence of numerous international companies, the exhibition provides the opportunity for the creation of business and commercial relations between Mexican producers and the 500 million European consumers, establishing itself as a bridge between Mexico and Europe.
“We expect approximately 14,000 visitors. We think it will be a great success. Last year we had only 8,000 visitors,” said Rodrigo González Márquez.
