Kazakh President Kassym-Gomert Tokayev said yesterday that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is “on the cusp of a tragedy in every sense of the word.”
This came in statements he made while receiving in the Kazakh city of Almaty, the heads of parliaments of the CSTO countries.
Tokayev added that the only way out for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the two-state solution.
He described developments in the Middle East as “worrying,” pointing to the killing of hundreds of civilians in Gaza every day, led by children and women.
He reiterated Kazakhstan’s firm position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which is to support the two-state solution, which he described as the only solution and way out of the crisis.
