Lasso will swear in his new collaborators this Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. local timeaccording to what was advanced by the General Secretariat of Communication.
The resignations take place shortly after Lasso faced an indigenous and peasant mobilization that lasted eighteen days, against the cost of living, and that ended after the signing of an agreement with the commitment to analyze the ten demands in dialogue tables of the protesters.
Next Thursday a technical table will be held to define the roadmap for the talks.
The agreement that ended the protests included a reduction in the price of subsidized gasoline and the government’s commitment to stop the expansion of oil and mining activities in indigenous territories, especially in the Amazon.
The demands were also related to the deterioration in the health system and included the complaint about the lack of medicines and supplies in the State care units.
During the protest, Lasso had declared an emergency in the health sector.
The mobilizations resulted in 6 deaths, including a soldier, and some 500 injured among protesters and security forces.
