This Monday’s Sem Censura program receives the president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães. Journalist Marina Machado will talk live, starting at 9:30 pm, with Guimarães about the bank’s digital transformation and the prospects for the country’s economic scenario.
The program also hosts two expert debaters, journalists Raphael Veleda (Metropolis) and Débora Bergamasco (SBT). In the debate, various topics of Caixa’s current management, such as initiatives to expand the bank’s operations throughout the country.
Pedro Guimarães has over 20 years of experience in the financial market, having coordinated several operations in the capital market. He holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester, a master’s in economics from FGV/RJ and a bachelor’s degree in economics from PUC/RJ.
President of Caixa since 2019, in 2020 he led the largest movement for social, digital and financial inclusion in Brazil, which consisted in the payment of Emergency Assistance for the poorest population, reaching more than 67.9 million people, totaling more than R$293.1 billion in payments.
In its new weekly format, the Sem Censura program gains agile pace and clear and direct language with the participation of guest debaters and interaction from the public, who can participate using the hashtag #newSemCensura, on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
The program is broadcast throughout the country on open TV through broadcasters affiliated with the National Public Communication Network (RNCP/TV), managed by Brazil Communication Company (EBC) and also by other live platforms and on demand.
