The PP affirmed yesterday that the PSOE-Cs coalition government will cause an economic “hole” in the City Council of 20.7 million euros due to its policy of consumption of savings and bank loans. The PP spokesman, Fulgencio Gil, said that the mayor’s cabinet, Diego José Mateos, has arranged in less than a year three bank loans for 10.7 million that have a two-year grace period, so they will begin to pay them the following municipal corporation. According to Gil, in 2023 the municipal debt will rise to 39.7 million euros, which will “weaken” the City Council.
The Councilor for Finance, Isidro Abellán, said in response to Gil that the “only economic hole” was the one left by the PP after its twelve years of government, with “barbs” like the one we have had to pay the Iberdrola company for 9 .3 million euros.
