Chelsea coach Graham Potter said that he had reached an understanding with his players and that the mentality of putting the team’s interest above all else contributed to the continuation of its winning record by beating its host AC Milan 2-0 in the Champions League.
Jorginho and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored as Chelsea beat AC Milan for their fourth win in a row.
After losing their first game in the group 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb and drawing 1-1 with Salzburg in Potter’s first game, Chelsea are currently top of Group E.
“It’s the process of getting to know them,” Potter said. We were away because of the international break but we worked hard behind the scenes to stress the importance of the group and the team and our reaction, the players have quality, they are a group that you take responsibility for, and I enjoy working with them. It was a good start for us and we need to continue.”
Chelsea, who visit Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, lost defender Reece James to a knee injury in the second half during the match against Milan.
Potter indicated that doctors will determine the severity of the injury in the next two.
