Postal says it delivered about 7.4 million packages during the Christmas ship weeks. Nearly 16 million Christmas cards have been sent. The season started with Black Friday week.
“Huge amounts of parcels have gone to homes, vending machines and the mailbox. Home delivery has been popular this year and it appreciates the kindness and attitude of our drivers, ”says Tommi Kässi in the bulletin.
Kässi is responsible for Posti’s large domestic parcel and e-commerce customers.
Packages can be picked up at some pick-up and service points on Christmas Eve.
According to Posti, the Christmas card is an important part of celebrating Christmas for Finns. The tradition still holds its own.
