Genoa – The Psa Genova Pra’ terminal, the first import and export port terminal in Italy, celebrates thirty years. The celebrations opened today with a party at the Galata Museum of the Sea which brought together the voices of those who saw the structure born, from the former general secretary of the then autonomous Consortium of the port of Genoa, Sandro Carena, to the former president and CEO of Sinport, the Fiat group company which won the concession of the terminal, then Vte (Voltri terminal Europa). The start was marked by the arrival of the first container ship, the Dainty River of Cosco, 2 thousand TEUs and 188 meters long.

Also speaking about the first thirty years of the terminal, which since 1998 has been under the banner of the PSA of Singapore, is the former CEO Saskia Kunst, who led it from 2003 to 2007, when he blew out the candles of the million containers moved. From history to the future: the current CEO Roberto Ferrari explained that Psa Italy is looking with interest at the markets of Southern and Central Europe, with the two direct trains, the Southern Express and the Stuttgart Express which connect the Genoese terminal with Switzerland and Germany. The CEO of PSA International, Ong Kim Pong, who took office in March 2024, and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Edoardo Rixi also attended the birthday party.
