Porsche’s range of high-wheeled models may soon welcome a new SUV that will position itself above the Cayenne. The German brand would have previewed the car to a selected number of dealers, who would have defined it as a large crossover, a coupé-style car with features that will differentiate it from the other cars in the brand’s line-up. Zuffenhausen.
Details about the vehicle remain unclear, but dealers had expected it to hit the market in the second half of the decade as a plug-in hybrid and later also with an all-electric variant. The code name used internally by Porsche is “Landjet”, a three-row, seven-seater SUV that would be developed as an integral part of the Artemis Project which sees the joint work between the Stuttgart brand and Audi. The battery version should be able to guarantee a range of 650 km. At the moment Porsche has preferred not to comment on the news that has leaked in the last few hours, stating that the brand always evaluates different solutions based on market trends. In the past, however, the Zuffenhausen-based manufacturer has repeatedly shown that it is capable of differentiating its offer, with the introduction, for example, of the Cayenne and Macan, two cars that have allowed significant volumes. The arrival of a new three-row SUV could also affect only certain markets, such as the United States, thus allowing Porsche to increase sales in a certain geographic area.
