Porsche accelerates the development of the EV variant of Macan. A new prototype of the battery version of the German SUV was tweaked in testing in the Alps, paired with the other sporty crossover offered by the Stuttgart brand, the Cayenne. Seeing the two models side by side allows you to have a more precise idea of what the dimensions of the new Macan will be: as anticipated by Porsche itself a few months ago, the 100% electric version of the crossover will have a definitely different look from the one with a thermal engine, especially in the front.
Thanks to the new DPI platform, the new Macan EV will represent a technological flagship for Porsche. According to the latest rumors reported by Carscoops, the Stuttgart carmaker seems intent on attracting customers thanks to the autonomy of the new Macan EV, which should be far greater than that guaranteed by the Taycan: reports suggest that the new German electric SUV will be able to travel for more than 483 kilometers on a single charge according to EPA standards. A few more unknowns instead for what concerns the engine specifications: there are rumors of a potential maximum output of 700 HP, but at the moment no official confirmation has arrived from Porsche. The debut expected by the end of the year should dispel any doubts about it.
