Tesla’s US customers end up in the crosshairs of…Porsche. The American media have no doubts: the Zuffenhausen car manufacturer has launched the Conquest Lease program overseas, which is open to owners of cars of any other brand but which seems specifically aimed at those who own a Tesla electric car. Considering the target, he could only be the protagonist of this programme Taycan.
Porsche tries to win over Tesla customers
Basically, the mechanism of the new Porsche program provides that, for the purchase of a Taycan, the German car manufacturer contributes an amount up to $4,500 to cover the leasing costs of the vehicle owned, for one or two months depending on the residual duration of the contract. Translated: if there are still 31 to 60 days left until the end of the current lease, the contribution will be $1,500, from 61 to 90 days $3,000 and from 91 to 180 days $4,500.
Taycan challenges Model S
As reported by Carscoops, if it is true that those who own any car non-Porsches are qualified for the Welcome program, the German brand’s move seems to be a strategic move aimed at winning over those who currently lease a Tesla Model S. Obviously nothing declared by Porsche, even if that seems to be the intention with the Taycan.
