Matteo Salvini favored as the new prime minister after Mario Draghi. This is the main result of the survey carried out for Affaritaliani.it by Roberto Baldassari – general manager of Lab2101 and professor at La Sapienza University in Rome. The leader of the League collects 23.4% of the preferences among the Italians, followed in second position by the secretary of the Pd Enrico Letta with 21.3%. In third position the former premier Giuseppe Conte with 16.8%, fourth Giorgia Meloni with 14.9. However, it should be noted that 23.6% of the sample answered ‘none of them / others’.
More than three out of four Italians, equal to 75.9%, declared themselves in favor of the re-election of Sergio Mattarella as President of the Republic in 2022. Only 24.1% contradicted. And finally the fear of the return of Covid. 64.7% of respondents believe that there will be new restrictions in September, also considering the slowdown in the vaccination campaign. 35.3% of the sample does not think so.
