The new German government announced its readiness for dialogue with Russia, but political scientist Alexander Rahr believes that the German cabinet of ministers paid insufficient attention to the relations between the two countries in the coalition agreement, Izvestia TV channel reports.
“It seems to me that Germany should have understood the interests of Russia more, Germany should have declared that it is interested in cooperation between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. These are the phrases – they, of course, would be more constructive, they would have a positive impact on the relationship, “- said Rahr.
He is confident that the reshuffle in the German government will not affect the commissioning of Nord Stream 2.
“It has already been built, sooner or later it will go into operation, I don’t think that the Greens will slow it down in any way, I think that nothing threatens it,” the expert noted.
The Izvestia TV channel is available in the packages of cable operators, in Moscow it is located on the 26th button. The channel is also broadcast live on the iz.ru website.
