The Polish government spokesman, Stanislaw Zaryn, announced on Wednesday that The Foreign Ministry has summoned the Russian ambassador and announced that 45 diplomats from that country will be expelled from Poland.

Zaryn reported at a press conference in Warsaw that the secret services have prepared a list of 45 people “from Russian diplomatic circles” who will be sent to the Foreign Ministry to proceed with their expulsion, considering that “they work for the intelligence service From Russia”.

Likewise, the Russian ambassador in Warsaw, Sergey Andreiev, was summoned by the Polish Foreign Ministry, said the government spokesman.
The Polish authorities also reported on Wednesday the arrest in Warsaw of an employee of the Civil Registry of that city, accused of spying for Russia.
The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, “supplied news and information that could harm the Republic of Poland,” according to an official statement, and will remain in preventive detention for at least three months at the request of the prosecutor.
In an interview broadcast on Polish television on Wednesday, government spokesman Michal Dworczyk stated that “activities of Russian spies are more and more intense” on Polish territory and he added that “sometimes we do not realize how important for intelligence is apparently trivial information such as, for example, that which is recorded in local institutions.”
“In the Registry Office there is a lot of information about people who changed their names after acquiring Polish citizenship or residence cards. And spies can use this,” Dworczyk said.
Putin intends to participate in G20 summit
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, for now, intends to participate in the G20 summit scheduled for the end of the year in Indonesiasaid the Russian ambassador in Jakarta on Wednesday, rejecting the possibility that the president is excluded due to the war in Ukraine.

China spoke out on Wednesday against excluding Russia from the next G20 summit., an idea suggested by the United States in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine. “Russia is an important member country (of the G20) and no member has the right to expel another country,” Chinese diplomat spokesman Wang Wenbin told reporters.
The Chinese government, close to the Kremlin, with which it shares a clear hostility towards the United States, refrained from condemning the invasion of Ukraine.
Western countries are preparing new sanctions against Russia, and will meet on Thursday in Brussels in three different areas: NATO, the G7 and a European summit, one month after the start of the war.
On Tuesday, Jake Sullivan, security adviser to President Joe Biden, mentioned the possibility of Russia being excluded from the G20, whose next meeting is scheduled for Indonesia at the end of the year.
