Head of GIM Unimpresa Torrembini: Poland blocked cargo going to Russia
Customs officers of Poland and Lithuania are blocking goods going to Russia at the border, said Vittorio Torrembini, president of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia (GIM Unimpresa). Writes about this RIA News.
“Their customs officers can, for example, simply block cargo coming to Russia from Italy, although the cargo is unauthorized and all documents are in order,” he emphasized. Torrembini called what was happening arbitrary.
The head of the association clarified that they easily pass their cargo across borders. “At the same time, the anti-Russian rhetoric of both Warsaw and Vilnius is the loudest,” he recalled.
It was previously reported that over the past two years (from the first quarter of 2022 to January-March 2024), Russia’s share in the structure of imports of the European Union (EU) fell by approximately 5.9 times – from 9.4 to 1.6 percent.
