The Pokémon Company announced the new expansion “Sword and Shield – Sidereal Luster” for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Inspired by Pokémon Legends: Arceusthe expansion will be available for purchase starting next year May 27 and within it a new mechanic will be introduced: i Shiny Pokémon. These are special cards depicting Shiny Pokémon that possess truly extraordinary abilities, which is why each Trainer can only have one in his deck. Being inspired by the title for the Nintendo Switch, the expansion will also have many inside regional variants of Hisui.

THE NEW SWORD & SHIELD EXPANSION HAS ARRIVED – SIDERAL GLOSS OF THE POKÉMON TRADING CARD GAME TOGETHER WITH THE NEW GAME MECHANICS OF THE SHINING POKÉMON
March 8, 2022 – Today The Pokémon Company International announced the arrival of the new expansion Sword and Shield – Sidereal Luster of the beloved Pokémon Trading Card Gamewhich will be published worldwide starting in May 27, 2022.
Inspired by the video game Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the expansion Sword and Shield – Sidereal Luster will surprise fans with many of Hisui’s Pokémon and illustrations that immortalize this fantastic region. In addition, the new mechanics game of the Shiny Pokémon which sees as protagonists of the Shiny Pokémon with specially imprinted illustrations. Shiny Pokémon usually have a powerful ability or attack that can affect the Pokémon TCG metagame. Players will only be able to include one Shiny Pokémon in their deck.
Plus, the expansion Sword and Shield – Sidereal Luster keeps the spotlight on the Pokémon-V ASTRO and also includes the special Trainer Gallery set which contains 30 cards featuring illustrations of popular Trainers and Pokémon.
Among the most interesting cards of the set are:
- Three Shiny Pokémon
- Eight Pokémon-V ASTRO
- 21 Pokémon-V and two Pokémon-VMAX
- More than 20 Trainer cards
The expansion Sword and Shield – Sidereal Luster It will come complete with booster packs, Star Player Trainer sets, and special collections.
