November 19 was a day full of emotions for all Pokémon lovers and the most nostalgic. This date in fact coincides with the launch of Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl, the long-awaited remake of Diamond and Pearl; both titles they are not available for notebooks or PC, as it is exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl had a successful launch especially in Great Britain, where in the retail market it records the second best launch of 2021 behind FIFA 21.
While Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of the hugely popular 2007 Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, there are some new features. In fact, there are new elements of the gameplay, but a totally revisited artistic sector is also available, with mold details chibi; these innovations give a new face to the Sinnoh region.
However, the most nostalgic need not fear, since the developers have chosen to keep a strong connection with the past and with the original games. This strategy is quite innovative, as the other remakes of Pokémon games had changed the gameplay experience considerably.
The main campaign
Completing the main campaign for Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl takes approximately 30 hours. The exploratory experience is very satisfying from an aesthetic point of view, and entices the player to fully explore the map, with all its caverns and caverns.
Fights, on the other hand, could represent the Achilles’ heel of the game. As in the other remakes, the levels of the enemies are the same as in the original titles; however, the user has at his disposal a series of tools and upgrades that make leveling up very quick and easy, as happens with the Share Experience, which has now become mandatory, and the Pokémon Friendship system. This risks making progress excessively fast, making aspects such as the interaction between the different Types less relevant.
In conclusion, the game is of excellent quality. The artistic sector is incredible, and with a resolution of 1080p in docked and 720p in portable mode, the video game always maintains the 30 FPS stable even in the most intense fights.
