Search PowerDate carried out from December 11 to 13, 2022 shows that the evaluation of the work of the National Congress has improved since September, the last time the company questioned respondents on the subject. For 37% of voters, the performance of the Chamber of Deputies is “bad” or “terrible”🇧🇷 This rate dropped 9 percentage points in 3 months, when it was at 46%.
The numbers indicate that part of the voters who evaluated the Casa Baixa negatively began to evaluate the performance of the deputies as “regular”🇧🇷 This rate rose 10 pp in 90 days. The positive evaluation (good/excellent) remained stable in this period: 13%. Another 6% could not answer.
The survey also questioned respondents about how they evaluate the work of the Federal Senate. The same movement that occurred in the evaluation of Casa Baixa can be seen in Casa Alta. The negative evaluation migrated to “regular”🇧🇷 90 days ago, those who assessed how “bad” or “terrible” the performance of senators added up to 47%. Today, it’s 37%. Those who rated it as “regular” represented 35%. Now they reach 46%.
Only 12% of voters rate the Senate’s work as “Good”or “excellent”🇧🇷 Another 5% could not answer.
The survey was carried out by PowerDategroup company Poder360 Journalismwith own resources🇧🇷 Data were collected from December 11 to 13, 2022, through calls to cell phones and landlines. There were 2,500 interviews in 302 municipalities in the 27 units of the Federation. The margin of error is 2 percentage points. The confidence interval is 95%.
To reach 2,500 interviews that fill proportionally (as they appear in society) the groups by gender, age, income, education and geographic location, the PowerDate makes tens of thousands of phone calls. Often, there are more than 100,000 connections until the interviewees who faithfully represent the population as a whole are found. Learn more about the methodology by reading this text.
O PowerDate he also asked the interviewees about their assessment of the work of the STF (Federal Supreme Court). read on here the complete report with the results of the Supreme Court.
EVALUATION OF POWERS X 2nd SHIFT
O PowerDate crossed the answers of the National Congress evaluation with the declaration of vote in the 2nd round. Both Houses have a high rate of “regular” –which indicates that the majority of the population does not know how to evaluate the work of the Legislative. At the same time, the image of the Senate and the Chamber are not so closely aligned with the Chief Executive’s assessment.
However, Bolsonaro voters evaluate the performance of the Chamber better than Lula voters. The positive rate of Casa Baixa is 20% among bolsonaristas and only 7% among lulistas.

METHODOLOGY
The search PowerDate was carried out from December 11 to 13, 2022. 2,500 people aged 16 years or older were interviewed in 302 municipalities in the 27 units of the Federation. Parametric weighting was applied to compensate for disproportionalities in gender, age, education, region and income variables. The margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
The interviews were conducted by telephone (to landlines and cell phones), through the AVR system (Audible Response Unit), in which the interviewee listens to recorded questions and responds using the device’s keyboard. The confidence interval of the study is 95%.
For ease of reading, search results have been rounded. Because of this process, it is possible that the sum of some of the results is different from 100. Differences between total frequencies and percentages in cross-variable tables may appear due to occurrences of non-response. This study was carried out with resources from the PowerDatea research company that is part of the Poder360 Jornalismo media group.
