In a tour made by Debate, some citizens commented that they have lined up for up to an hour and a half to be able to cast their vote. The temperature of 30 degrees has not been an impediment for them not to leave the boxes; on the contrary, they protect themselves from the sun’s rays with umbrellas and caps.
The governor, Sergio Salomón Céspedes Peregrina, guaranteed the safety of the people of Puebla, and to do so, he requested the support of the National Guard and the Army.
Although in the capital of Puebla, election day passes calmly, in the interior of the state, specifically in the municipality of Tlapanalá the burning of ballot boxes and the theft of electoral ballots were reported. While in the municipality of Coyomeapan revealed that the election could be suspended after a fight between antagonistic groups.
However, the electoral authorities notified the installation of 8,229 polling stations throughout the state and the participation of 75,000 Puebla residents as polling station officials.

Alejandro Armenta stressed that after the election day this Sunday, it will be time to begin a new stage of reconciliation in Puebla, and affirmed that he will be respectful of the electoral results.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Rivera highlighted citizen participation throughout the state. The candidate arrived at the booth in section 1128 in the Santa Cruz Buenavista neighborhood accompanied by his family.
