Shot: Wagner PMC fighters arrived in Kursk region and entered into battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Fighters of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” arrived in the Kursk region and entered into battles against the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Sudzha. It is reported that battalions of the volunteer corps of the Russian Defense Ministry also began to take part in the hostilities. How many fighters arrived in the Kursk region is not specified.
Military correspondent Yegor Guzenko announced the dispatch of PMC fighters to repel attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Russian region. They described their appearance in the region with the phrase “from the ship to the ball.”

According to Guzenko, the arrival of the PMC fighters is good news for the Russians. The military correspondent noted that Wagner is “returning to Russia,” which means that the private military company’s units are being redeployed from a foreign mission.
Special forces “Akhmat” arrived in Kursk region
The commander of the special forces “Akhmat” Major General Apti Alaudinov reported on his arrival in the Kursk region. He said that one of the special forces units is also already in the region.

He stated that Ukraine is building up its forces, which it has liberated from the Belarusian border, and is trying to advance. The commander of the special forces “Akhmat” predicted that “this issue will be resolved in the near future.”
Alaudinov addressed the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, conveyed his greetings and said that these days would be the last in their lives. The special forces commander did not specify the number of the Akhmat detachment operating in the Kursk region, nor what equipment the Chechen units were using.

Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation statedthat the Russian military is preventing the Ukrainian Armed Forces from advancing deep into the Kursk region and is striking at units located in the region and at reinforcements attempting to approach them. According to the department, fighting is continuing in two districts of the region – Sudzhansky and Korenevsky.

Kursk region was subjected to a massive attack by a large detachment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the morning of August 6. The border town of Sudzha came under heavy shelling.
