Trend reversal
Good news for those who travel with electric or plug-in hybrid cars: after years of increases, charging costs are falling for the first time.
In fact, starting from next July 1st, users who recharge their electric vehicles at Enel X public charging stations will find all the new tariffs. But also the charging stations of other operators, as long as customers use them through the EnelX app. Here they are in detail.
The new rates
The cost for direct current (fast) charging stations will go from €0.89/kWh to €0.84/kWh (VAT included). Those for high potential charging stations (HPC, ultrafast) will go from €0.99/kWh to €0.94/kWh (VAT included).
News for your subscription
Furthermore, Enel X introduces a new tariff proposal called “Pay per Use Premium 15”. This tariff includes a monthly fee of €9 which allows users to use the charging station booking service in an unlimited manner and to obtain a discount of €0.15/kWh on all types of charging (AC, DC, HPC ).
In detail, with the new “Pay per Use Premium 15” tariff the costs will be as follows:
AC charging: €0.54/kWh (VAT included), instead of €0.69/kWh
DC charging: €0.74/kWh (VAT included), instead of €0.89/kWh
HPC charging: €0.84/kWh (VAT included), instead of €0.99/kWh
The panorama of the offer
Obviously the electric car is not like a petrol car in which you plug in electricity: its way of use, the different tariffs and subscriptions require a bit of study and attention. For this reason we explain that all these new features are added to the current portfolio of Enel X offers for public charging, which includes:
– City monthly subscription: €49/month for 80kWh and reservation included
– Pay per Use Premium annual rate: €25/year for unlimited bookings and “Pay per Use Basic” pay-as-you-go rate
– Pay per Use Premium 10: €4/month for a discount of €0.10/kWh and unlimited booking
– Pay per Use Basic: pay-per-use rate without subscription. VB
