Sharp-eyed PC gamers will have seen on the Steam pages of previously exclusive PS4 titles that the publisher is seeing a name change, as it now appears. PlayStation PC LLC in the space it was previously occupied by PlayStation Mobile.
As you can see from the image below, Days Gone was the title reported most by the community with the change in question. The work of Bend Studio arrived on PC a few months ago, offering enthusiasts a significant leap in quality, which we talked about in our review (click on the link to find out more).
To the most attentive it will not be a whole new name: this is not a new publisher, as it has been in use since Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, first-person adventure game released on consoles in 2015, but arrived on Steam the following year.
PlayStation PC LLC, therefore, is not a new branch of Sony, but it does not seem very clear what the goal may actually be, since other exclusive titles for PS4 of the caliber of Horizon Zero Dawn And God of War haven’t seen this change yet. What are they plotting, then, in the land of the rising sun?
Probably this change of publisher could concern the control of the mobile market, leaving totally in the hands of PlayStation Mobile the control of the exclusives for smartphones and tablets. Not long ago we talked to you about how Sony would have made the decision to focus on this sector, looking for new figures to whom to entrust the aspects of the new management.
Therefore, the change of publisher to PlayStation PC LLC could be the result of this change of course, but given the aforementioned games that still mark the old word Mobile, we will have to wait for further official confirmation from Sony.
Staying on the subject Days Gone, Bend Studio is already putting the cards on the table for a new game but it will not be a sequel. We leave you at the link for our dedicated article for all the information.
