The PlayStation Home social hub is about to return.
PlayStation Home, a social hub that has been running for years on PS3, it was closed more than five years ago. The offline version is already available via an emulator, but now the group Destination Home ensures that they will reconnect the game before the end of the year.
“PlayStation Home was one of the first social games on consoles, which we all loved and enjoyed“, we read on the official website.”Unfortunately it closed on March 31, 2015. Destination Home tries to recover what was lost to keep the game in a playable state“The team explains that they do not accept donations or charge anything, as it is a free video game.
Destination Home has released a new trailer stating that players will be able to connect to Home online, in both public and private rooms. The users themselves donated information about their personal data, which allowed the team to resurrect the spaces that were within the official application: this includes the Hub, the bowling alley, the park and the ability to customize the apartments .
The project is not supported by Sony, as there is no link between the project team and PlayStation. Home was launched in December 2008 with the idea of creating an interactive and interconnected environment between different users and now, thanks to longtime fans, it is about to return.
