12 teams participate in the playoffs: the 10 runners-up of the groups and the best 2 of the Nations League not qualified through the groups. At the draw on Friday 26 November these 12 will be divided into two pots: 6 seeded (Nationals who obtained the most points in the group), 6 unseeded (the four worst runners-up plus the Nations League qualifiers). Three “final four” will be drawn, like a tennis scoreboard: in each of these there will be 2 seeded and 2 “non”. The two winners of the semifinals (played between 24 and 25 March 2022 in the home of the seeded players) then compete in the final (28-29 March, field decided by the draw) for the only available seat. Three “final four”, then three qualified.
