Roszdravnadzor has identified 37 anti-vaccines calling for refusal to vaccinate against coronavirus. They may face criminal liability. This is reported by the newspaper “News”…
The fact that Roszdravnadzor began to collect information about those who campaign against vaccination against coronavirus became known on November 1 after the decision to start such a procedure was signed by the head of the supervisory agency Alla Samoilova. In the document, experts urged representative offices in the constituent entities to look for data on opponents of vaccination in social networks and the media.
Since the beginning of the month, 37 materials have been handed over to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor’s Office throughout Russia. The largest number of anti-axers was found in Karelia (18 materials), in Rostov (eight materials) and Volgograd (five materials) regions.
Particular attention is paid to anti-axer medical personnel. The head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, called for criminal proceedings against anti-virus doctors who dissuade Russians from being vaccinated against coronavirus. He believes that the articles can be applied to those doctors who themselves pose a threat – if they become infected on their own, they risk transmitting the disease to other people.
Such agitation can be punished under Article 207.1 (“Dissemination of knowingly false information about circumstances posing a threat to the life and safety of citizens”) and 207.2 (“Transmission of knowingly false socially significant information that entailed grave consequences”) of the Criminal Code of Russia.
In addition, opponents of vaccinations face a fine of up to a million rubles and up to three years in prison. In the event of a person’s death due to false information, a fine of up to two million rubles or up to five years in a penal colony is provided.
Senator, Candidate of Medical Sciences Alexander Bashkin even proposed to deprive anti-vaccination doctors of medical diplomas for life. He is confident that the physician who discourages patients from vaccinations does not have the proper education, medical knowledge and practice.
Alexander Gunzburg, head of the Gamaleya Center, agreed with this position. According to him, such doctors “destroy, that is, they kill people”, illegally taking advantage of their position.
Honorary Attorney of Russia Leonid Olshansky supported the idea of Roszdravnadzor to report anti-vaccinations to investigators and the prosecutor’s office. According to him, it will not be possible to initiate a criminal case in such a situation, but certain measures can be taken, since incitement to forgery of documents is punishable – for example, an offender may receive an order or a warning.
Infectionist Yevgeny Timakov explained the difference between anti-vaccines and those who do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19. In his opinion, the former oppose such drugs in principle, while the latter doubt it, because they do not have reliable scientific information. The doctor added: in order for people to decide on the vaccine, they need to be given full information based on scientific data and statistics.
In turn, psychiatrist Alexander Fedorovich explained that there are three types of anti-vaccination. Anxious and suspicious. Such a person may doubt what is happening, see conspiracies, be afraid of chipping and total surveillance. As a rule, this is an absolute opponent of vaccinations. The second type is people who do not trust the authorities, officials and the health care system. They believe that “vaccination is politics, economics, whatever, but not medicine.” The third type of people is prone to rational thinking. They listen to the opinion of experts and high-level specialists and make their choice based on the arguments.
