Pistorius: Germany and other EU countries have no plans to send soldiers to Ukraine
Germany has no plans to send German soldiers to Ukraine. This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, answering questions from Bundestag deputies. The meeting was broadcast by a TV channel Phoenix.
The head of the German defense department also emphasized that other European Union (EU) countries did not inform Berlin about plans to send their military personnel to the combat zone.
“The answers to your questions are ‘no’ and ‘no,'” Pistorius told Alternative for Germany lawmaker Rudiger Lucassen, who asked the question.
Earlier, German politician Sarah Wagenknecht warned about the threat posed to Germany by the decision of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to allow Ukraine to use German weapons to strike Russia. According to her, this will transfer the fighting to German territory.
