Ferrari is back on track
After Charles Leclerc’s beautiful victory in Monte Carlo, the Ferrari ran into a really bad weekend in Canada. The SF-24 did not prove to be competitive either in qualifying or in the race, and suffered a double retirement which moved it further away in the standings from Red Bull, who won with the usual Max Verstappen.
Today Charles Leclerc took to the track again – this time at Mugello -, for tests scheduled to prove the Pirelli compounds which will be delivered to the teams for the world championship 2025. The Monegasque completed 120 laps, for a total of 630 kilometersfinding the track wet in the afternoon.
The Red Army was able to use the SF-24 as per the regulations. The test will continue tomorrow, when the other Cavallino driver, Carlos Sainz, will enter the cockpit.
It’s about the fifth test in 2024 for Pirelli, after Barcelona, Jerez de la Frontera, Suzuka and Le Castellet.
