Let us remind you that Fortuna left the German port of Rostock on Thursday evening, where it had been for the last week. The pipe-laying vessel is heading to the construction site of Nord Stream 2. The barge is expected to arrive at the site on 23 January.
As a reminder, this week Washington expanded sanctions against the Fortuna pipelayer involved in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and its owner, the KBT-Rus company.
Earlier it became known that the FRG authorities hope to discuss sanctions against Nord Stream 2 with the administration of the new US President Joe Biden. Exactly when the parties may consult on the restrictive measures has not yet been specified.
