President Andrés Manuel López Obrador attacked this Tuesday against the members of the cultural community who signed a manifesto in favor of Xóchitl Gálvezpresidential candidate of the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition.
In his morning press conference, in National Palacethe president said that before this type of demonstrations did not go out to public, they were for private conversations.
“There is another group, which are the pseudo-intellectuals, who act as pimps of the corrupt oligarchy, they legitimize with a whole collection of pseudo-theories of why the regime has to be maintained,” López Obrador explained.
“They dare to talk about freedoms, they come to invoke democracy and, all of them, or the majority, also not to generalize, are at the service of the regime, sold or rented. Livers at the service of the regime of oppression, apparently academics, scholars, but they never defend the people.”
They are vassals, they are servile employees of the oligarchy in the countries, the head of the Executive stressed. We are living in exceptional, interesting times, stellar moments in our history, because masks are falling and all those who pretended are being revealed as they are, he added.
“What an important thing the beginning of this transformation has been, because it is a revolution of consciences, but at the same time it has brought racism and classism to the surface,” said the man from Tabasco.
López Obrador referred to the use of the word morenacos. “But all that didn’t come out, that was for their talks, but they can’t stand it, because they are angry, they show the copper.”
“Now it is no longer possible to mediate, which was what many pseudo-intellectuals did who deceived that they were independent, and that delays the progress of a true transformation of the establishment of an authentic democratic political system,” he noted.
Not now, the President pointed out, because of the heat, rude frankness emerges and we know each other better, it is just a matter of respecting each other and for each person to express themselves freely.
“Whoever is classist has the right to do so, there are those of us who do not agree with that, but we all have the freedom to express ourselves,” the president said.
