Joe Biden has a lot of work ahead of him as US President. It’s not always easy to keep track of things. The Democrat manages with detailed notes.
Munich – The schedule of heads of state and government is packed to the brim, so the daily routine is meticulously timed. It can help to define an exact procedure – if only so that you don’t lose track of the sometimes guaranteed stress. And in the very worst case, even sweating a part of the program.
Personal assistants are of course available to top politicians, who are usually within shouting distance or can simply be reached quickly. And yet, notes that are always at hand can never hurt. Because when dancing at the various weddings, the moment can come when the head of an entire nation loses his head for a short time.
Biden’s ludicrous notes: Eight points followed at meetings with wind power industry
Of course, the notes should then remain a secret – which basically applies to their mere existence. After all, they are not intended for the eyes of the interlocutors, nor for those of the public in general.
Joe Biden knows that for sure. However, this did not prevent him from holding his notebook so openly in his hands at a meeting with representatives of the wind power industry that everyone present and the cameras were almost forced to take a look at the document.

Biden and his notepad: From “Enter the room” to “Make brief comments”
What was revealed must be described as a love of detail par excellence. Biden’s staff really doesn’t seem to be leaving anything to chance. The note listed eight partially ludicrous points New York Post reported. It starts with the instruction: “Enter the Roosevelt Room and greet the participants.” The room is a conference room in the west wing of the White House, directly across from the Oval Office.
Point two follows: “Take your seat.” In the next line, Biden is reminded of the appearance of other guests: “The press enters the room.” So that the journalist’s visit is worthwhile and there are more than nice photos, it says then: “Give short comments (two minutes).” Then this part would be closed: “The press leaves the room.”
Biden meets wind power industry: According to the note, a question to a party friend is mandatory
Biden, however, has not yet reached the end of his mandatory program. Now the task is: “Ask Liz Shuler, President of the AFL-CIO, a question.” Next comes the important note that Shuler is connected virtually. So Biden does not need to look around unnecessarily at the seats around him at the table. As can be seen from an overview image of the meeting, at least nine people took part virtually.
By the way, like Biden, Shuler is a Democrat. AFL-CIO stands for “American Federal of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations”. But Biden obviously knows that even without notes. Just like the subject of the question to be asked.
Biden and written notes: Pointed out “something on your chin” a year ago
Two points are still outstanding. And they leave no questions unanswered. The piece of paper tells him: “Thank the participants.” Finally: “Leave the room.” In the end everything seems to have gone well. The notebook did its job.
The fact that Biden also reacts to spontaneous hints was shown almost a year ago in a round with governors about the forest fires in some parts of the USA. At that time, the US President sat alone at a small table and was given a note in front of the cameras while his Vice President Kamala Harris spoke.
After studying the message, Biden wiped his chin and stared at his hand for a long time. Then he put it to his mouth. It was later revealed that the note read: “Sir, you have something on your chin.” That too should have remained a secret. But not with Biden, who also held this piece of paper in front of the camera for all observers to see. (mg)
