Curated by the French thinker Georges Didi-Huberman, the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid hosts the exhibition In the moved air…which takes its title from Federico García Lorca’s Gypsy Ballads. A look at the overflowing emotions where the Lorca idea of the duende comes into play. The exhibition transmits emotion to us as a movement that affects a community and that can lead to commotion. In other words, a concatenation of emotions.
The exhibition begins with the chapter Thoughts on how to approach the experience of shock. In Faces and Gestures, which includes works by Auguste Rodin, Alberto Giacometti and Salvador Dalí, the symptom is referred to as pain coming from some depth, whether psychic or bodily. In Sitios, the limitations of space and the emergence of emotion are revealed with the work of Joan Miró and Lucio Fontana. At Calle de Sta. Isabel, 52. Madrid. Until March 17, 2025.
