The guidelines that could inform the action of the international community in various contexts, such as the G7 and G20, in favor of the stability of Afghanistan were also discussed.
In the afternoon Draghi had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, who offered the opportunity for a detailed analysis of the situation on the ground in Afghanistan and its regional implications. During the meeting, the guidelines that could inform the action of the international community in various contexts aimed at rebuilding the stability of Afghanistan, at countering terrorism and illicit trafficking and at defending the rights of women were discussed.
