RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – PetroRio has started production from well TBMT-10H, in the Tubarão Martelo field, with a volume of approximately 3,800 barrels of oil per day, still in a stabilization period, the company said in a material fact on Tuesday .
The TBMT-10H well was drilled in 2013 and the installation of the upper completion and interconnection of the well to the FPSO Bravo, recently carried out by PetroRio, represents an investment of approximately 17.5 million dollars, with an estimated payback of less than three months, added the company.
“This incremental production will also benefit from the reduced marginal royalty rate of 5%, as approved by the (regulatory agency) ANP in July 2021,” the company said in the document.
According to PetroRio, the estimated recoverable volume of this well, at around 3.7 million barrels, should be reclassified from “Proved Undeveloped Reserves” to “Proved Developed Producing Reserves”, in the most recent reserve certification.
