Petrobras reported that, as part of the actions taken to open up the Brazilian natural gas market, it signed, on Wednesday, 22, with the Associated Gas Carrier (TAG) the Agreement for the Reduction of Flexibility of Use by Petrobras and amendments to Malha Nordeste, Gasene and Pilar-Ipojuca Natural Gas Transport Contracts, which reflect the aforementioned limitation on Petrobras’ flexibility. These instruments allow access by other agents to TAG’s transport system as of January 1st.
According to the state-owned company, the signing of the Agreement and Amendments was carried out after approval by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) and is in line with the commitment assumed by Petrobras under the Term of Commitment to Cessation of Practice ( TCC), entered into in 2019, between the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and Petrobras.
