Fut represents the volume of oil cargo processed in relation to the refineries’ reference load, taking into account the project limits of the assets, respecting the safety, environmental and quality requirements of the derivatives produced.
According to Petrobras, the third quarter of this year also saw a record for pre-salt oil processing in distillation units, with 73% of the total load processed, and a record for gasoline production with a volume of 6.38 million m3 in the quarter. In September, the pre-salt recorded the highest share in its history in total production, at 79.7%.
The state-owned company’s asphalt production also grew, reaching 803 thousand tons in the quarter, with record production in September at the Duque de Caxias Refinery (Reduc, RJ), with 32 thousand tons; and at the Presidente Getúlio Vargas Refinery (Repar, PR), with 51 thousand tons.
For the director of Industrial Processes at Petrobras, William França da Silva, the results achieved are the result of investments in unit modernization projects, asset reliability, process optimization and the application of innovative technologies.
“With the quarter’s data, we are demonstrating Petrobras’ commitment to the efficiency and profitability of its operations. The milestones were achieved due to the integrated work of the entire company”, said França.
