SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Petrobras has approved the termination of a competitive process for the sale of all of its shares in the Araucária Nitrogenados (Ansa) fertilizer unit, located in Paraná, according to a statement released on Monday night.
The process was at the binding stage. From then on, the company said it will evaluate its next steps related to the divestment of the asset.
An article published by Valor Econômico newspaper on Monday indicated that Norwegian company Yara had given up on buying the Petrobras factory, a deal that came close to being closed this year for around US$50 million.
