Bancada do Perú Libre announced his departure from the government this Thursday; in a similar move, Castillo asks for disaffiliation
The Peruvian president’s left-wing Peru Libre party Pedro Castillo, announced this Thursday (June 30, 2022) that it will pass to the opposition. The party’s leader in Congress, Waldemar Cerrón, said that the party will make a “propositional opposition”.
“An opposition is not given out of opposition or on a whim. An opposition is based on arguments, actions and facts that have repercussions in the country”, declared.
According to Cerrón, the Peruvian president “did not comply with ideology” of the party and, therefore, should leave the acronym. “Citizen and activist Pedro Castilho was asked to leave not as president, but as a party activist”.
This Thursday (June 30), Pedro Castillo requested the disaffiliation of Perú Libre. in your profile at twitterposted an image of the craft.
“Today I introduced the @JNE_Peru my irrevocable resignation from the Peru Libre political party. This decision is due to my responsibility as president of 33 million Peruvians. I respect the party and its foundations built in the campaign”he wrote.
