turning point
Al-Zarouni’s start with the camera originated from a young age, where he documented many memories and occasions that passed by him, with his constant desire to search for what could turn into a distinguished work of art that enters the frame of the picture and leaves an impression in the soul of every viewer. The year 2013 was a turning point for him when he participated in a photography trip to Vietnam with a group of photographers to set himself on the path of the world of photography.

Regarding the areas of photography that he tends to, Al-Zarouni stated that photographing the lives of peoples and the street is one of the interesting and inspiring topics through which the photographer records the culture of a society, through behaviors practiced in daily life, indicating that it is thus possible to identify the customs and rituals enjoyed by these peoples. . He said: The picture mimics the reality in people’s lives, and there are pictures that are immortalized in memory with the accompanying stories, which makes it more than just a picture.
preparation and skill
He added: Some may think that this style of photography is easy, but in fact it is one of the most difficult and most enjoyable fields of photography, and requires great effort in preparation and high skill in linguistic and visual communication, in addition to the etiquette of dealing with people and understanding their psyches, and ethics so that the photographer does not fall in the forbidden. He explained that not being familiar with the culture prevailing in societies and knowing the laws of their people and the extent of their interaction with photography, may cause the photographer to get into many problems, pointing out that he had previously been exposed to some situations that were engraved in his memory, including what caused him embarrassment from the reaction of people during filming.
Street life
Al-Zarouni mentioned that he always tends to photograph subjects that have a distinctive pulse, and this does not negate his interest in the rest of the subjects and does not diminish the value of any other type of photography, indicating that he enjoys always challenging himself with new ideas. His desire to portray street life and the stories that revolve in it made him travel to a number of countries.

Photographer Ahmed Al Zarouni finds that the best destinations he visited for shooting despite the challenges he faced were European countries, India and Turkey. In the future, he aspires to portray life in Latin America and the North and South Poles.
