People’s Artist of Russia died at the age of 73. The actor died due to complications from COVID-19. Earlier on Friday, February 18, the artistic director of the Maly Theater, Yuri Solomin, announced that all performances with Nevzorov’s participation were cancelled.
Boris Nevzorov was born on January 18, 1950 in the village of Starominskaya, Krasnodar Territory. In 1968 he entered the Shchepkin Higher Theater School, where he studied for two years. In 1975 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School. Since 2005, he has been an actor at the Maly Theatre. He taught at GITIS.
Nevzorov is known to the general public for such films and TV shows as “The Fool”, “Original Russia”, “Major”, “Turkish March”, “Kamenskaya” and others. In 2011 he was awarded the honorary title “People’s Artist of the Russian Federation”.
