The lawyer hired by Red Bull to analyze in detail all the possibilities to claim against a penalty deemed insufficient must have found some technicality that could play into the cause of the Milton Keynes team. Red Bull, in fact, has decided to exercise the right of review of the penalty (10 seconds, ed) inflicted on Lewis Hamilton in the British Grand Prix after the collision at Copse with Max Verstappen during the first lap. The commissioners, in the official document relating to the sanction, had judged the Mercedes driver “Mostly guilty”.
This complaint prepared by Red Bull and presented on 23 July will be officially discussed by videoconference on Thursday at 16:00. To be taken into consideration, it must emerge “a significant new element“ which was not available at the time the decision was made on Sunday 18 July.
