Peleteiro and Attaaui lead the list of Spain for the European

Ana Peleteiro and Mohamed Attaoui are the most recognizable faces of the group of 36 Spanish athletes who will go to the Indoor European Championship, which will be held in Apeldoorn (Netherlands) from March 6 to 9. The Galician, who already knows what it is to climb to the top of an Indoor European podium (2019), arrives at the event as a continental leader of the year after jumping 14.33 in the Spanish Championship. Attaaui, meanwhile, will compete in 1,500 after proclaiming national champion on that distance for the first time.

In total, there will be 19 women and 17 men, seven athletes more than in the Indoor European of Istanbul 2023. Fátima Diame, worldwide bronze under ceiling last year, Quique Llopis, fourth in the Games of Paris 2024, and Marta García, European Bronze In 5,000 meters in 2024 and winner of the last San Silvestre, they are also on a list with which Spain expects, at least, to improve the two medals of the last appointment (Ben’s gold in the 800 and mechaal silver in 3,000). Among the debutants with the Spanish shirt will be, if the injuries allow it, the jumper Lester Lescay, who lost the Spanish championship after injuring himself in heating, and that after release nationality in January he becomes one of the main spindle of delegation medal.
