The Peruvian Congress dismissed President Pedro Castillo on Wednesdayshortly after dissolve the legislature and install an emergency government. This situation, which has caused uproar and protests, is considered the biggest political crisis since the politician, teacher and union leader, originally from Puña, a town in the Tacabamba district, came to power just over a year ago.

Due to this political crisis, Hundreds of people have taken to the streets to demonstrate, some against and others in favor. In the face of social unrest, mothers went to school for their children to keep them safe.
The protesters in favor of Pedro Castillo, they took a part of Abancay avenue, one of the main roads in Lima, Peru, in the vicinity of the Government Palace. The area is guarded by elements of the National Police.
“Many people are saluting the measure adopted by President Pedro Castillo, to close the Congress of the Republic, what the authorities have done is close Abancay Avenue to all vehicular traffic from the University Park and here, in a certain way, they that has been unleashed is a party, some fireworks are being detonated as a sign of support for the President,” said reporter Jacqueline Martínez of the Peruvian news program ATV Noticias.
