Peacemaker, created by James Gunn, came to the streaming platform hbo max and it became a complete success. Now that the series is ending its first season, fans have been clamoring for a sequel.
In an interview for Collider, the director was satisfied with how the program has developed. “We are the biggest show in the world right now. It is working extraordinarily well and we are excited ”, were his words.

Now, Gunn revealed that the second season of Peacemaker has already been greenlit. “Thanks to Peter Safran, John Cena, our amazing cast, crew, friends at HBO Max, and most of all to all of you for watching!” he shared on Twitter.
“He created an exceptional series that is equal parts exciting, hilarious and heartfelt (…) As the first DC original show to premiere his series on HBO Max, we’re thrilled that viewers agreed to give peace a chance,” he celebrated. Sarah Aubrey, director of original content for the service.

What is Peacemaker about?
The series with John Cena explores the origins of The Peacemaker, as we see him embark on a new mission to stop the Butterfly invasion.
