The Russian Defense Ministry announces the return of 1,400 refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh. As writes RIA News, Russian peacekeepers escorted a convoy of 34 buses from the territory of Armenia to Stepanakert today.
Earlier on Sunday, Nagorno-Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan at a meeting in Yerevan with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that, according to the republic’s registration center, 25,000 people had already returned to the region in five days.
Note that the Russian peacekeeping forces provide safe corridors for refugees on the way to Stepanakert.
The day before, the first convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh with humanitarian aid.
