In January 2018, Nandu Jubany (Calldetenes, 1971) fulfilled one of his great wishes: to run the Dakar rally on a motorcycle. He finished it, 53rd, after riding a KTM for 63 hours on broken roads in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. “Once and that’s it! I’ve already tried it. I’m not going to go back, it’s very dangerous. The risk you take and what you risk is tremendously greater than the reward you get,” he said upon completing the odyssey.
