Highest note in the Ebau
This young woman from Cartagena has achieved a 9.99 out of 10 in the general phase and wants to study a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computing at the Carlos III University of Madrid
Paula Piñero has been caught by the result of the Ebau -9.99 out of 10- traveling, something she plans to continue doing this whole summer. «I already have the destinations prepared. She was looking forward to finishing to pack her suitcase ». Such is her adventurous spirit that the young woman does not rule out leaving Spain to “achieve my job dreams and develop professionally,” she says with conviction.
-What assessment do you make of this result?
-I am very satisfied, because the constant effort of Baccalaureate has paid off. The prelude to the University is a long-distance race in which you cannot lose confidence in yourself and in your ability to excel.
-Have you already chosen a degree?
-Yes. I want to study the degree in Applied Mathematics and Computing at the Carlos III University of Madrid. What attracts me most about this career is the diversity of job profiles it covers. I believe that these studies will help me a lot to establish critical thinking. The choice of career is difficult. We are in a kind of bubble, with all our steps established until the Baccalaureate, and suddenly you have to choose letting yourself be carried away by intuition, because you do not know what you are going to find in that study plan, if it will really be vocational.
-According to your experience, do you consider that in the election the vocation or job opportunities weigh more?
-There is a complex struggle between the two. Although it is true that the career you choose will mark you and that everyone seeks to fulfill their dreams, I believe that priority is given to studies that have greater weight in the labor market, although with how dynamic it is, nothing is certain. . Luckily, we have all the time in the world to make mistakes and try again.
-What would you like to do?
-I want to undertake, although in Spain I see it complicated. When the time comes, I wouldn’t mind going abroad to fulfill my dreams and develop professionally.
