Guasave, Sinaloa.- It will be within a month that the conditions are analyzed to make the determination of the celebrations alluding to the carnival in Guasave, said the president of the board of trustees after meeting with the mayor yesterday morning.
He added that it was proposed to take advantage of the celebrations for the anniversary of the municipality in the month of May, to carry out a larger and more brilliant event with carnival overtones.
Proposal
Ricardo Alberto Angulo Meza, president of the Carnival Boardindicated that they are respectful of the measures, but stressed that although the carnival as such was no longer held, they are concerned to do something in the month of May, taking advantage of the municipality’s anniversary.

“We bring the concern as a board of trustees to do something, not a carnival as such because that would be until 2023, but to hold an event in the month of May, at the end of the anniversary of the municipality and we want to see if we can combine those festivities with an event that can do the patronage, because that means that we can do a massive event, a dance with an artist and even if a queen can be crowned, something with carnival overtones.”
Angulo Meza announced that they, as a board of trustees, have the proposal of three famous artists, so they will seek to coordinate with the municipality to cover the cost.
“I anticipate that it may be Marisela, the Labyrinth Group or Remmy Valenzuela, these are the proposals we have. Hopefully, if the municipality had economic conditions that could help us and we would do activities and thus we could make a bigger and more lucid event, depending on the sanitary conditions.”
He commented that there has already been an approach with the artists and that it would only be necessary to formalize the date and the contract with whomever it is decided to bring.
The president of the board explained that they have sought to hold the event inside Kuroda Park, but it is almost impossible, and considering that the parking lot would be too small for an event of that level, they are seeking to lend them the Guasave 89 stadium.
“We hope that by the month of May there will be conditions and the proposal that we bring right now because it is very difficult to get the Carranza inside and outside, which is what we could get, it is too small for what we want to do, so we want them to facilitate the Guasave 89.”

The businessman also pointed out that if the permit is finalized within a month that the situation of the pandemic is analyzed again, it would give them time to organize the event, which although it will not be a carnival as such, they will seek to print that theme for don’t lose the tradition.
