A tribute to Chabuca Granda
Baptized as the ‘Lady of Latin Jazz’ by the online magazine Jazz Caribe, the Peruvian singer-songwriter presents in ”Alma Latina” a compilation of 10 original tracks and four covers.
However, in this production the song stands out in particular “Flowers for Chabuca”a song created to the rhythm of landó (a musical genre belonging to black folklore), whose lyrics are a four-hand composition between Patricia Fuertes and Manolo Palacios, to pay tribute to María Isabel Granda y Larco, Chabuca Granda, one of the voices representative of Creole music.
