The passenger traffic of Russian airlines in October increased by 62% compared to the same period last year. The relevant information follows from the updated data of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

Also, Rosaviatsia noted an increase in the volume of passenger air transportation on domestic routes. So, in October 2021, 7.3 million passengers were transported, which exceeds the figures for the same period in 2020 by 31% and in 2019 – by 22%.
In addition, it is noted that in January-October 2021, 94.6 million passengers were transported, which is 59% more than in ten months of last year. Passenger turnover – 205.3 billion passenger kilometers (+ 53%).
On November 12, Rosaviatsia reported that in January-October 2021, Aeroflot increased its transportation by 95.4% – up to 2.1 million passengers, while S7 increased by 32.6% – up to 1.5 million , and “Pobeda” by 28.3% – up to 1.3 million.
On November 9, tour operators told Izvestia that the absolute leader among the destinations for New Year’s travel is Egypt, which accounts for 35% of all New Year’s bookings. Turkey and the United Arab Emirates follow with 20% each.
The day before, Russia and Egypt officially resumed charter flights, which were discontinued more than five years ago. As it became known, the first carrier to fly to Egypt was Nordwind. The airline’s plane took off from Nizhny Novgorod to Hurghada on November 9 at 00:30 Moscow time.
