ukrainian actor Pasha Lee has died at the age of 33 during a Russian bombing in the city of Irpinnear Kiev, where he was enrolled in the Ukrainian armed forces, the Odessa International Film Festival has reported on social networks.
On March 6, “the famous actor Pasha Lee has been killed,” says a Facebook post from the festival, which explains that the artist, whose real name was Pavlo Li, had joined the Territorial Defense Forces “to protect the country of the Russian occupiers.
Pasha Lee was an actor, also dubbing, as well as a singer and songwriter. He took part in the theater play “Koleso” and in the films “Shtolnya” (2006), “Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors” (2013) by Lyubomyr Levytsky, “Zvychayna sprava” (2012) by Valentyn Vasyanovych, “The Fight Rules ” (2016) by Oleksey Shaparev, “Meeting of classmates” (2019) by Valentyn Shpakov, and others.
His voice was used to dub movies like “The Lion King” and “The Hobbit” into Ukrainian.
Born in Yevpatoria (Crimea) in 1988, he was the son of an ethnic Korean father and a Ukrainian mother.
Evacuation of civilians from Irpin begins
Ukraine has begun to evacuate the civilian population from Irpin, in the Kiev region, where some 3,000 civilians have received assistance, the country’s State Emergency Service reported today.
“The evacuation of the population of Irpin is underway. Almost 3,000 civilians received assistance. The work is underway,” the agency wrote on its official Telegram channel.
This evacuation of Irpin, a town northwest of Kiev with almost 43,000 inhabitants, comes after days of intense Russian attacks and after multiple obstacles to evacuate the city’s population due to the Russian offensive.
The population leaves the city through a destroyed bridge.
